GCMS offers a variety of on site extracurricular after-school programs, aiming to unlock a child's potential in the critical early years of life.
The extra-curricular activities we provide include our comprehensive Mandarin Program-
Long Mandarin, Musikgarten Program, musical instruments, visual art, dance, sports, etc.
Long Mandarin
The children at GCMS are fortunate to experience outstanding Mandarin Curriculum from Long Mandarin year round during the day in Bilingual Classes, and in after-school programs.
Mandarin is taught through various methods
such as nursery rhymes, storytelling, singing, drama, drawing, games, which engage children
and help them master the skills of
speaking, singing, reading andwriting in Mandarin in pleasant ways.

Musikgarten Program
Exposure to music plays a significant role in the development of the young child. Daily music circles provide each child with the opportunity for singing and movement. Parents are asked to attend a half-hour musical movement class once a month. This time provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and toddlers to participate together in a variety of musical experiences such as singing, dancing, rhythm patterning and the introduction of various instruments.
